Janasena tasted tremendous success in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh election after for being alliance with TDP and BJP. The party did not win 21 out of the 21 Assembly constituencies that it had contested, but Pawan Kalyan also ended up becoming the deputy CM.
Now, active preparation has already begun for the 2029 election, and this was confirmed by Naga Babu himself. He said Janasena will be contesting all the Assembly seats across the Araku rural region in the next election.
He confirmed that JSP would be contesting all the segments under the Araku Parliamentary region, and this is the reason why Pawan Kalyan took the Panchayat Raj ministry in order to appease the tribal folk.
Historically speaking, these rural pockets and tribal regions had fundamentally been with YSR and then partially with Jagan’s YCP. So breaking this barrier in the rural pocket is a crucial aspect for the NDA alliance.
On a related note, Pawan Kalyan had been extremely proactive when it comes to government implementations, including roadways, social surveys and medical camps. So Janasena would have naturally gained a lot of exposure and trust here.
While it might not be too much to ask for, for Janasena to contest the majority of the seats in the region. But it could come down to see sharing and numbers game at the last minute, which will dictate the outcome. For now, Naga Babu might be confident about this, but the final decision will be taken by bigger heads.
