The Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy faced constant accusations for favouring the YSR Congress Party while ruling the state.
Even during the elections, Jawahar Reddy took many decisions in the favour of YCP which were against TDP and Jana Sena.
Finally, YCP lost the general elections and the TDP, in partnership with Jana Sena, will be forming the government in Andhra Pradesh in a few days.
Amidst the formation of the new government, the General Administration Department of Andhra Pradesh asked Jawahar Reddy to take a vacation. As per the orders, he took a vacation leave.
He is going to retire this month end and as his tenure is going to end in just a few weeks, he may not assume the office once again.
We can expect a new Chief Secretary to get appointed by the end of the day. Meanwhile, the finance department’s special secretary Rawath also took a leave citing health reasons.
On the other side, orders were issued to sack the government advisers who hadn’t resigned yet. New advisers will be appointed very soon. It is heard that many more key decisions will be taken once the new government is formed.
