A new chapter has begun in Andhra Pradesh politics particularly Telugu Desam Party Politics. Mala Mahanadu President and MLC, Jupudi Prabhakar Rao has joined TDP in the presence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Traditionally Mala community is not with TDP and their rival dalits, Madigas are with TDP for a long time. Jupudi is known to be a fighter of Mala rights for a long time and his entry in to TDP will probably change the face of politics in AP.
Jupudi was a strong supporter of YS Rajasekhar Reddy and was nominated by him to Council. Later he stood beside YS Jagan when he floated YSR Congress party. He contested for Kondepi MLA seat but lost. He alleged that Jagan’s relatives conspired against him and made him lost. He further alleged that Jagan did not care for his suggestions or complains and came out of the party.
Jupudi’s term as MLC is coming to an end very soon. It is said that Jupudi may be nominated by TDP once again to council. His addition to TDP will strengthen the party’s voice in Council as well as TV debates if used well.
