Kadapa District is a stronghold of the YSR Congress. The huge presence of the Reddy population and Muslim population in the district helped YSR earlier and that has been passed on to Jagan Mohan Reddy now.
In the 2014 elections, TDP managed to win Rajampet only. In 2019, the party drew a blank.

In 2024, Surveys indicate that TDP is getting better in Rayalaseema but in Kadapa, the party is likely to better its tally but only a bit.
Mydukuru is going TDP’s way this time and there is a keen contest in two other seats – Rajampet and Kamalapuram.

Sugavasi Subrahmanyam in Rajampet and Putha Chaithanya Reddy in Kamalapuram putting up a strong show and if they hold their ground till the last minute, we may see TDP getting favorable results here.
Jammalamadugu may also go TDP’s way but it is with the BJP now.

The backlog in Kadapa district had to be covered in Anantapur, Chittoor, and Kurnool.
Regarding Kadapa Parliament, the contest turns interesting with Sharmila likely to cut YSR Congress’s votes. Kadapa Parliament is right now with TDP but BJP is asking for it. If Sharmila cuts a significant number of votes, TDP may win the seat but if BJP gets it, it becomes doubtable.
