Police have successfully cracked the case of Murder Attempt on Aurobindo Pharma Vice Chairman, Nityananda Reddy. They have collected the CCTV footage from KBR Park and identified the person as Obulesu who works as Constable in Amberpet CCL. He tried to escape boarding a bus to Karnataka but was caught in Kurnool-Anantapur border.
It is also known that the AK-47 he used the attack was stolen an year ago from Greyhounds. Obulesu hails from Porumamilla, Kadapa district. Three others were also arrested in relation to the case. Police are investigating four of them regarding what is the motive behind this attack and the people behind them.
Nityananda is an accused in quid pro quo investment case of Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh, YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The trial of the case is to begin soon in the Nampally CBI court.
