Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s latest press conference has sent shockwaves through Telangana’s political landscape. To everyone’s surprise, Kavitha chose to attack Harish Rao and Santosh Rao more than her own brother KTR, calling them corrupt and accusing them of attempting to take control of the BRS party.
During her speech, Kavitha made a striking allegation involving Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and Harish Rao.
“When did the conspiracies against me begin? When Harish Rao and Revanth Reddy travelled on the same flight from Hyderabad to Delhi. Harish Rao caught Revanth’s legs, and from then, conspiracies started against me. I ask both to deny this incident if it’s untrue,” she said.
She added, “I urge my father to see what’s happening around him. I’ve been made a scapegoat today. That’s fine. But tomorrow, the same thing will happen to Ramanna (KTR) and to you, too. The ultimate plan is to hijack the BRS party.”
These are serious public accusations, and with no official response from KCR or KTR so far, party workers are left confused. Silence at this stage could create deep trust issues within the BRS ranks.
If Kavitha’s claims are false, leaders must address them directly to restore confidence. Otherwise, suspicion could spread across the party, with everyone looking at each other as potential conspirators.
These are significant challenges for a party already sitting in the Opposition.
Interestingly, after her earlier allegations against Harish Rao, the official BRS Twitter handle posted a message praising Harish. KTR also retweeted it, showing his support. But after this fresh outburst, that response no longer feels adequate.
If tensions escalate further, Kavitha might even make a statement to investigative agencies like the CBI against Harish Rao. The situation is getting increasingly volatile.
Harish Rao is currently abroad on a personal trip. All eyes are now on how he will respond once he returns.
