Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha reached Tirumala on Thursday. After celebrating with near and dear ones following her discharge from the Delhi liquor scam, Kavitha is in Tirumala to pray to Lord Venkateswara and fulfill her promises.
She landed in Tirumala with her family and Jagruthi members. As per her promise to God, she climbed the steps from Alipiri to reach the main temple.
Kavitha thanked those in Andhra who supported her and welcomed her to Tirumala. Speaking to media, Kavitha reiterated that she was launching her own political party soon and hoped that Lord Venkateswara would bless her.
Her visit to Tirumala is no big news. But what has generated a buzz is her slogan at Renigunta Airport. Kavitha said ‘Jai Andhra’.
Now the Telangana political observers are wondering if it is a pre-planned strategy of Kavitha to say it or if the words slipped out of her mouth.
Since bifurcation, the Telangana parties have been trying to woo Andhra settlers with various tactics. In Kavitha’s case, she raised the slogan and thanked Andhra supporters even before the formal launch of her party.
Telangana political watchers say that Kavitha is in great hurry to project herself as a leader who is attached to both Telugu states. Incidentally, Kavitha has no friends from any major political party in Andhra so far.
But politics is about forming new alliances and Kavitha seems decided to grab attention in Andhra by raising the ‘Jai Andhra’ slogan.
