Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha is like a wounded tiger. After her long fight and discharge from the Delhi liquor scam, Kavitha is obstinate about making a political entry.
She had earlier said she will launch her political outfit on Ugadi, which is just days away. Meanwhile, Kavitha is taking up local issues under GHMC and staging dharnas with the locals.
Just the other day, Kavitha sat in solidarity with Madhu Ridge Park residents and demanded that the ruling Congress demolish the houses of the rich built on Musi banks instead of poor people’s houses.
But the political analysts say Kavitha is trying to be seen and heard at the right places to make a mark in the GHMC elections by taking up hyper local issues. Even matters like drinking water problems, drainage issues are being addressed by Kavitha. She has planned to go from division to division to ensure her party performs well in the GHMC elections.
Kavitha’s big ambition is to start with GHMC and raise as a strong opposition in Telangana. Eventually, she wants to win polls and become the CM of Telangana. Political watchers say Kavitha is moving her pawns with a clear strategy in mind.
Then there is talk that Kavitha might announce her political party in May, 2026. With Delhi liquor case behind her for good, Kavitha has become aggressive in her approach. While her grassroots level approach is good, her ambition to get to the CM’s seat in the quickest possible time might impact her political growth, say Telangana political analysts. It’s a time to wait and watch.
