KCR: CM To Commoner In Few Hours

As the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) faced an inevitable loss in Telangana, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao took an unconventional path to resign.

Instead of the expected visit to Raj Bhavan, KCR quietly departed from his official residence, Pragati Bhavan, in two private cars. Surprisingly, he didn’t personally submit his resignation to Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan but chose an official channel.

This departure marked a stark shift from the usual Chief Ministerial protocol, deliberately avoiding the customary convoy and route clearance.

In a matter of hours, KCR transitioned from the helm of Telangana to an ordinary citizen. In the morning he was the Chief Minister, by Sunday afternoon he had become a commoner.

Notably, his vehicle, now driven by close aide Joginapally Santosh Kumar, followed the traffic rules and stopped at all signals, underscoring the abrupt change in status.

This scenario underscores the dynamics of power, illustrating how even prominent figures must adjust to a new reality once the power is gone.
