KCR fears new headache to change T dialect

KCR-TSCERTImmediately after the formation of Telangana state, it is said that Syllabus of Telugu and Social Text Books of the state will undergo a complete makeover to suit the state’s culture and history. Telangana State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) was also entrusted the task of introducing the regional dialect in school textbooks from the next academic year.

However SCERT put the idea on hold for at least this year after the experts committee could not come to a conclusion as local dialects differ from each of the 10 districts in the state. The dialect is distinctly different from North and South Telangana and a change now may bring new headaches for the government.

An SCERT official, Dr N Upendar Reddy confirmed that the new school textbooks would adopt the Telugu that is being used as of now focusing on introducing Telangana culture, authors and their writings, social and political changes. However the ardent Telangana supporters will definitely be disappointed at this decision.
