KCR and Lagadapati Raja Gopal do not see eye to eye since they represented opposite causes during the state bifurcation. Lost Rajagopal went on to take political exile and KCR became the Chief Minister of Telangana. However KCR now reached out to Lagadapati’s help and the latter promptly responded.
The Power starved Telangana state entered in to an agreement with Lagadapati’s Lanco to supply power. Lanco has no production for the last two years but recently managed to get gas allocation. Lanco agreed to supply 300 MW power to Telangana government at the cost of 7-8 Rupees per unit.
On the other side, Lagadapati Rajagopal says he is not related to Lanco as he entered in to politics resigning for the company. But the fact is that Lagadapati family still holds the company and it is just that Lagadapati’s name is not on the books. This business agreement is likely to create controversy in both the Telugu states.
