Today is the 94th Jayathi on PV Narasimha Rao who hails from Telangana and went on to become one of the greatest Prime Ministers of the country. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who takes immense pride in Telangana roots, ignored the state’s favourite son.

The state government had officially celebrated PV’s Jayathi at PV Ghat in Necklace Road. But Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave the event a miss. Few ministers of Telangana attended it as formality and finished the event.
The arrangements at the PV ghat are also not on par. Earlier KCR had promised a district and University on PV’s name and a statue of PV on Tank Bund. But none of them materialized so far. It is learnt that KCR was in farmhouse today supervising the ginger cultivation planned there.
