Telangana government has submitted the proposals of changes intended for the ongoing Metro Project in Hyderabad. In a sudden turn of events, the government had only submitted changes in two routes. The changes are proposed in the routes before the old Assembly building and near Sultan Bazaar. The Concessionaire, Larsen and Toubro will have to submit the costs incurred for the changes.
However the government did not give any proposal regarding the changes in Old City Metro Route. Already there are rumours in political circles that the government is backtracking on the changes in Old city and TRS and MIM are at loggerheads. It is also said that both the parties may even break up on this issue.
Neither TRS sources nor government sources are commenting on the issue. However they are just confined to saying that there is still a chance that the changes for the route may be submitted separately. The final changes will be implemented when only both the parties agreed up on the changes and costs for the changes. Telangana government will have to bear the loss incurred for the changes.
