KCR Sends 500 Crore For Huzurabad By-election

Telangana Government has brought the Dalit Bandhu scheme which gives Ten Lakh Rupees to every Dalit family in the state. There is a criticism that this scheme has been brought to woo the 50,000 Dalit votes of Huzurabad which will go for a by-election soon. There are 21,000 beneficiaries only in the constituency.

That means Telangana Government would need only 2,100 Crore Rupees for a single constituency. The government has released the first trench of funds amounting to 500 Crore Rupees for this scheme in Huzurabad. The scheme will be launched in Huzurabad on August 16th.

KCR hopes to win this election at any cost. “This is nothing but bribing the electorate. It is sad that the Ruling party is resorting to such blatant misuse of power,” BJP criticizes.

Meanwhile, having won from the constituency four times on a trot, Etela is very confident. Etela has spearheaded Telangana agitation along with KCR. He is well aware of the TRS’s organizational strength in various districts and so, he is confident of making a dent in TRS.
