With the election season well and truly catching up in Telangana, a lot is being said about the political climate in the state. Recently, there were reports that KCR’s daughter Kavitha could be contesting from Nizamabad rural MLA segment.
This time around, the rumors are surrounding none other than the main man himself, KCR. There are reports that the BRS chief could also be going for a change of constituencies.
As per the latest report from a national media outlet, KCR could be leaving the Gajwel constituency in the next election and instead contest from Kamareddy MLA constituency.
Since the formation of Telangana state, KCR had been contesting from Gajwel and winning by substantial margins. While there might not be any consolidated reason for him to change constituencies, the latest reports are suggesting that he might well go for a change.
KCR won from Gajwel by a majority of close to 60,000 votes in 2018. Will he go for a change of constituencies in 2023? Could this be to improve the prospects of BRS in and around Kamareddy segment? Only time will tell.
