KCR’s Truce Proposal to Chandrababu

Telangana government has agreed to share the Higher Education Council to Andhra Pradesh in lieu of transfer of the secretariat buildings in AP’s control. Even though, AP has got a favourable judgement in Higher Education Council, Telangana has been reluctant to concede a share.

Telangana government however is of the opinion that after taking its share in the council, AP should not expand its wish-list, instead end the dispute. Telangana government wants to remodel the secretariat premises to accommodate all government offices at one place after taking over AP buildings.

Currently, AP government has in its possession, the Blocks L, K, J and H in Secretariat premises even though its staff have moved to Vijayawada and all buildings are vacant and under lock and key. But then, AP wants the compromise to be extended to a share in 132 institutions in Hyderabad city and surroundings.
