Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who is on a six day trip to Delhi is staying in a luxurious suite at Ashoka Hotel spending a whopping 1.5 Lakh per day. The total bill for his stay there will come up at not less than Rs 9 lakh plus 21% taxes for six days. The food bill is not included in this.
The Chief Minister has a dedicated accommodation at Sabari Block of the Telangana Bhavan, which was formed after getting divided from the then united Andhra Pradesh Bhavan but the Chief Minister only went there once since he assumed office and is staying in Ashoka Hotel whenever he is in Delhi.
On the other side, despite several notices of the Government of India, KCR still retains the 23 Tuglaq Road bungalow which was allocated to him when he was the Union Cabinet Minister. Defying the government’s orders, some renovations are being taken there.
