Know the top companies in AP’s Sri City

Sri City is the ultimate destination of all the investments coming to Andhra Pradesh after the state division. Sri City came in to news after one of the World’s largest Food Maker, Pepsiso decided to set up its largest factory in India at Sri City. However there are several other companies that are located there.

Mondelez, the US-based snacks multinational, best known in India for its Cadbury brand of chocolates, inaugurated the first phase of its largest plant in the Asia-Pacific region here. Mondelez, PepsiCo, Kellogg’s, Colgate-Palmolive and a host of other global and domestic food and FMCG firms already entered MOU with AP to bring in nearly $1 billion (about Rs 6,600 crore) in investment here.

Several food processing companies are also pitching in another $1 bn of investments here. Just outside Sri City, there are some companies such as ITC, Britannia, Heritage Foods, Godrej Agrovet and Godfrey Phillips who either have their establishments or planning to do so. Ramdev Baba’s Patanjali is also planning to set shop at Sri City.
