A close aide of former minister and YSRCP leader Kodali Nani has been arrested in Gudivada. The arrest has caused a major stir in local political circles.
Kodali Nani’s follower Koonasani Vinod was taken into custody by Gudivada One Town police. He was reportedly caught red-handed while playing online cricket betting.
Police seized Rs 50,000 in cash and a cell phone from Vinod. Officials stated that the seized items were linked to betting activities.
During the investigation, police found that Vinod had allegedly run gambling places involving card games during the YSRCP term. Authorities also received inputs that such activities continued even after the Chandrababu government came to power.
Acting on specific information, Gudivada One Town police conducted the operation and arrested Vinod. The swift action followed surveillance and tip-offs.
