Kodali Nani’s Situation Reminds Of Dhobi Ka Kutta!

Kodali Nani was the most vocal leader in the YSR Congress be it in the Opposition or in the Ruling.

His horrible language did more damage to the YSR Congress but that is what Jagan wanted and Nani always made him happy by abusing Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan.

Nani belongs to the Kamma Community which is believed to be a strong supporter of the Telugu Desam Party.

He was close to Junior NTR and Jagan also used Nani to create a rift between TDP and NTR fans.

Nani won four elections on a trot. He entered the Assembly from TDP in 2004. After he had shifted to the YSR Congress, the TDP leadership and cadre took the seat prestigiously but were unable to defeat him in the 2014 and 2019 elections.

In his eagerness to please Jagan with abuses, Nani became an enemy of his own community.

TDP leadership and cadre took Gudivada prestigiously and finally defeated Nani. That too with a record majority of 53040 votes.

The other day, Jagan announced new Regional Coordinators for the YSR Congress.

However, despite being faithful to Jagan, Nani’s name did not figure in the list. Five of the six Regional Coordinators appointed are from the CM’s Reddy community.

The sole non-Reddy name in the list is Botsa’s.

Jagan once again indicated that YSR Congress is a Reddy Party and the remaining communities can only be his Palanquin bearers.

Nani was in Jagan’s cabinet after the 2019 victory. But he was stripped off in 2022. To make it up, Jagan made him the Regional Co-Ordinator for Guntur and Palnadu.

Just before the elections, Jagan removed the post and announced he would extensively use Nani’s services in the elections. But nobody knows how he was used.

This is a hard pill for leaders like Kodali Nani to swallow.

They have become like “Dhobi Ka Kutta – Na Ghar Ka Na Ghat Ka”. They are disowned by their own community and insulted by Jagan.
