Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy questioned what is the connection between the Delhi liquor scam and the people of Telangana. He questioned why BRS leaders are causing trouble to the public with their protests.
BRS MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla was arrested by the ED officials yesterday for her alleged involvement in the Delhi liquor scam case. Kavitha was taken to Delhi last night. She will be presented before the court in a while.
Condemning Kavitha’s arrest, BRS leaders called for protests across all constituencies in Telangana. Minister Komatireddy opposed this move.
He said that Kavitha was arrested by the Delhi police, who has no connection with the state. He added that BRS is causing inconvenience to the people in the name of protests.
Komatireddy also recalled BRS’s prevention of protests in Hyderabad during Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest. “It’s quite astonishing to witness those who didn’t permit protests previously now calling for them,” Komatireddy remarked.
