TRS Working President K Taraka Ramarao met Andhra Pradesh Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy a little while ago at the latter’s Lotus Pond Residence. After the meeting, both the leaders addressed a Joint Press Conference. They have said that they held Preliminary Talks over working together in the Federal Front.
Both the leaders carefully struck to the Federal Front and avoided any talk and questions about working together in Andhra Pradesh Politics and defeat their common enemy Chandrababu Naidu in the upcoming Elections. Jagan stressed the need for increasing the MPs strength from 25 to 42 MPs to achieve Special Status to Andhra Pradesh.
Both the leaders maintained that these are Preliminary Talks and they will discuss further on Federal Front when KCR meets the Opposition Leader in Andhra Pradesh very soon. KCR so far met Mamatha Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, Naveen Patnaik, Stalin, and HD Deve Gowda about the Federal Front idea but none of them committed to it.
Jagan Mohan Reddy may be the first addition to the Federal Front if everything goes well because he is maintaining equidistance to BJP and Congress. Congress is with Chandrababu Naidu and BJP denied Special Status to Andhra Pradesh. For this reason, he can not ally with both the parties at least in the Pre-Poll Scenario.
