BRS working president and former IT minister of Telangana, KTR has made his assessment on the voting trends in the recent Telangana elections and he appeared to be bemused about the voting patterns.
Speaking with BRS leaders in Mahaboobnagar, KTR said the BRS government did so much for the progress of the ST community in Telangana but these voters didn’t pick even hardworking BRS candidates in the election.
“We created over 6,47,000 jobs in 9 and a half years and registered a 73% hike to employees. We contributed to the welfare and progress of the ST community through special reservations. But despite all the good work, BRS didn’t retain power. We wanted Telangana people to have easy access to government schemes and didn’t focus much on publicizing our schemes loudly, and perhaps this is the wrong thing we did. We should have focused more on publicity than works, maybe then the voters would’ve picked us and we would’ve won” KTR said.
It can be understood that KTR is bemused about losing the election and believes that BRS’s good work should’ve been rewarded in a better manner by the voters. Netizens are commenting that KTR appears to be pushing the blame slightly on the voters for losing the election.
