Just about a while ago, BRS working president KT Rama Rao was named A1 in the formula E scam by the ACB. It was alleged that KTR, along with IAS officer Aravind Kumar and former HMDA Chief Engineer BLN Reddy committed financial irregularities in the transactions made to Formula E management when the race was conducted in Hyderabad in 2023.
While KTR was named A1, Aravind Kumar and BLN Reddy were named A2 and A3 respectively.
Meanwhile, KTR, who is currently attending the assembly sessions, reacted to the case against him. He dared the Congress government to hold discussion on this issue and assured to clarify all allegations in the assembly itself.
“If the government has any conscience, I urge them to hold a discussion in the assembly regarding the Formula E racing scam. I will clear all doubts and allegations,” said KTR.
Meanwhile, speculations have started on whether KTR will be arrested anytime soon as the case has been registered against him now. It has to be seen if ACB summons him with notices or directly arrest him for further investigation.
KTR was accused of allowing illegal transactions of Rs. 55 crore through HMDA officials to the Formula E organizers without the required permissions.
Allegations suggest that the then MAUD Secretary, Aravind Kumar, approved these transactions under the instructions of KT Rama Rao, which the government claims is a blatant violation of financial regulations.
