Telangana IT minister KTR is celebrating his birthday today and it has been a remarkable last few years for the next-gen politician.
Following the bifurcation, doubts were raised about the IT and Infra network in Telangana. But thanks to KTR, Telangana has been doing overwhelmingly well on both counts.
Many people stated Hyderabad’s development would be halted following the bifurcation and there wouldn’t be any big investments. But the reality now is that Telangana is booming multifold with investments and infra development. KTR is now also focused on the development of tier 2 cities in the state, which would ensure overall growth of the state.
At the same time, there is a narrative to pull down the good work of KTR by sharing images on social media about the flooding in Hyderabad during rains. But this is a result of astronomical growth in infra. This kind of urban flooding is imminent in cities that are seeing rapid urban development and expansion.
KTR maintains a very active presence on social media as well and every now and again, he responds and addresses the problems and situations that are escalated by the common folk on social media.
KTR invigorated this new trend of responding to civilian complaints on social media and built a positive image for him in general. Him and his KTR office handles are always on the move to help out the needy.
Another substantial win for KTR is his ability to tap into the settlers vote bank. This vote bank wasn’t necessarily with BRS in the start, but KTR managed to tap into the same with the seamless IT and Infra growth in the state.
Telangana, and Hyderabad, are now seeing an overwhelming spike in public and private infra development projects and it needs to be said that Hyderabad is one of the leading forces in this aspect.
KTR is still very young and there’s a whole lot to look forward to not just in Telangana but also in national politics, perhaps somewhere in the future.
