IT employees organized an innovative protest against the illegal detention of TDP President Chandrababu Naidu. In response to his arrest, supporters called for a unique demonstration “Let’s Metro For CBN”, urging people to travel on the metro train from Miyapur metro station to LB Nagar metro station while wearing black t-shirts.
In some places, a high-tension atmosphere prevailed, leading to arguments between the police and Chandrababu’s supporters. As a result, a significant number of protestors gathered at the Miyapur metro station. The police also arrived in force at the station. Officials cited technical reasons and temporarily closed the metro station, leading to confrontations between Chandrababu’s supporters and metro officials.
Metro staff used public announcements to inform passengers that wearing black shirts was not allowed. The supporters of Chandrababu had called for a protest against his unlawful arrest, advocating for the use of black t-shirts during the metro train journey from Miyapur to LB Nagar metro station.
As a result, TDP supporters congregated at various metro stations. The police prevented passengers and metro staff who inadvertently wore black shirts from boarding the metro. The situation became chaotic, and metro trains were halted near Ameerpet and MGBS.
In the midst of these protests, metro services experienced delays. Chandrababu’s supporters clashed with the police, resulting in the forceful removal of individuals wearing black shirts. This has left Chandrababu’s supporters angered and frustrated with the police response.
