Police Raids Jagan Relative's House

SIT is inquiring into the liquor scam that took place during Jagan’s term. Police have conducted raids on the house and offices of Kasireddy Rajasekhar (Raj Kasireddy) who played a pivotal role in the scam and a relative of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The SIT is conducting raids in three areas of Hyderabad. Raj Kasireddy was given notices thrice, but he did not bother to appear before police and was absconding.

SIT issued notices on March 28, 29, but Raj questioned on what basis SIT sent him notices. He filed a petition against SIT notices in the High Court. But the Court refused to interfere in the matter.

After this, SIT gave enough time to Raj and issued notices on April 5, asking him to appear on April 9. But Raj did not turn up once again. He switched off his phones and absconded.

Hence, the SIT team is carrying out raids at his Hyderabad house and offices. As a part of the investigation, SIT feels Raj will be able to give valuable information regarding the liquor scam. SIT is also inquiring the excise officials involved in the scam.
