Telugu Desam Party’s Annual Mahanadu is being planned at Amaravathi, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. This is the second Mahanadu after the elections and will be held for three days – May 27th,28th and 29th. Since the first Mahanadu after elections is held in Telangana (Hyderabad), this Mahanadu will be held in Andhra Pradesh.
It is said that Nara Lokesh who is currently the Convener of Party Workers Fund may be elevated to a greater position in the party in this Mahanadu. It may be reminded that Chandrababu also worked as Karshak Parishat President and Chief Secretary in the party before scaling to greater heights. Lokesh is also taking similar path.
During the last Mahanadu, Telugu Desam Party had announced a fund with a corpus of Rs 20 crore to take care of the welfare of needy party workers. The idea was the brain child of Lokesh and it was greeted to superb response then. Lokesh impressed every one by perfectly executing the idea and also finishing the Party’s membership with a record number.
