Mofijul Rehana Sheik, 22 years, is from a very poor background hailing from West Bengal. Few days ago (March 4th), he came all the way to Kerala to find some work and feed his family. On the day, he arrived in Kerala, he purchased a Karunya lottery ticket worth 50 Rupees. The results of the lottery were announced the next day.

Surprisingly he got a lottery of One Crore and he became a Crorepathi overnight. Incidentally, this happened just few days after him coming to Kerala for earning bread. Rehana Sheikh went to the local police station complaining that other labourers are trying to kill him and snatch his ticket.
He requested Police to give him protection. The Police officials accompanied him to a bank and opened an account on his name. The Lottery ticket was handed over to the bank so that it can be encashed once the lottery company releases the money.
