Mahasena Rajesh who was declared the TDP candidate from P Gannavaram had decided to withdraw from the contest. Rajesh is a Dalit who was with YSR Congress before the 2019 Elections later turned against Jagan.
He was very vocal against the failures of Jagan Government. So after the announcement of his candidature, YSR Congress launched a witch-hunt campaign digging Rajesh’s past videos.
Janasena supporters also joined them since they believe Janasena should get P. Gannavaram ticket. Rajesh sensed that he is being used to defame and damage TDP politically, he decided to withdraw.
“I became a victim of Caste Monster yet again. I will remember this forever, Jagan Reddy. Don’t badmouth my party, Chandrababu Garu, Lokesh Garu, and Pawan Kalyan Garu for me. I am voluntarily withdrawing,” Rajesh announced on his Facebook page.
While YSR Congress fields dummies in SC reserved seats, TDP fielded two vocal and active leaders like Rajesh and Kolikapudi Srinivas in such seats. But Rajesh had to withdraw.
