The AP government which is quite invested in technology has come up with a key decision. The Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with Real-time Governance Society.
Babu took the decision of forming a advisory committee to provide good governance to the state. The committee will have members from Gates Foundation, IIT Chennai and other prestigious bodies.
Another major decision was about Mana Mitra whatsapp governance. Babu said that by June 12, all services will be made available to people. He said people need to be educated about the app meanwhile.
As of today, the AP government is providing 254 services via whatsapp. The officials shared with Babu that they can provide other services too. So, the date has been set for June 12 to provide 500 services through whatsapp. The CM said that they were working hard to provide more services for the convenience of people.
Speaking about the special advisory committee, Babu said it will decide on what is best for AP people and give suggestions to the government.
It is known that Mana Mitra is a one-of-its-kind whatsapp service that digitally provides various services online. The idea is to cut down or do away with citizens of AP running around offices. The app was launched in January, 2025, with 161 services. Today, they are providing 254 services. By June 12, 500 services will be provided online.
