The latest from YSRCP camp is that YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has put forth the proposal of all 11 MLAs resigning at one go. This is in retaliation to the arrest of MP Mithun Reddy.
Though Jagan made the proposal before senior leaders, talk is that the 11 MLAs have put their foot down to the ‘mass’ resignation idea.
They say that it is not clear by when their resignations will be accepted. Also, when the by-elections happen in the 11 constituencies, there is no guarantee that they will win, given the present situation.
This way we will lose face and the seat, the 11 MLAs told the high command, say sources. Meanwhile, as SIT is not stopping with Mithun Reddy and is pushing forward, there are rumours of Jagan getting arrested.
Hence, the talk is that YSRCP cadre have been told to be ready to hold demonstrations when and if the need arises.
