In order to consolidate the support of government employees, ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti is fielding TNGO President and Telangana employees JAC Chairman Devi Prasad for the upcoming Council elections in Graduates Quota.
Devi Prasad was very active during Telangana agitation and various employee problems. He was supposed to contest for Assembly or Lok Sabha from TRS in the last elections but that did not happen due to various reasons.
And now KCR has agreed to field him from Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar graduate seat. Devi Prasad was first reluctant to contest from this seat but agreed on KCR’s insistence. TRS is likely to announce his name on 18th of this month. The notification for the elections will be released on February 19th. The polling will take place on March 16th. The counting will be held on March 19th and the results will be out on the same day.
