
Kakinada SP Bindumadhav has ordered for a reinvestigation of dalit driver Subramanyam, who was killed in the now well-known body door delivery murder.
Kakinada sub-divisional police officer and IPS, Manish Devraj, has been appointed to investigate the case. He has been ordered to submit reports to Kakinada SP and DSP within 60 days.

If required, they asked to seek permission from Court after filing additional chargesheets. The murder of dalit driver Subramanyam on the night of May 19, 2022, and the door delivery of his body created quite a buzz at the time.
Subramanyam was working with YSRCP MLC Anantababu at the time of his death. The then SP Ravindranath told media that Anantababu confessed to the crime. Anantababu was sent to Rajamahendravaram central jail on remand.

Later, he got intermittent bail and has been roaming free for two years. Parents of Subramanyam are fighting for justice for their son and action against Anantababu.
After the Alliance government came to power, they gave compensation to the family and appointed Muppalla Subbarao as special lawyer to give law-related guidance to Subramanyam’s family.

With the appointment of an IPS officer for the case, Anantababu is back on radar.
