Modi’s Maiden Telangana Visit Disappoints BJP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s maiden visit to Telangana ended up as a disappointment for BJP State Unit. The Prime Minister heaped praises on Telangana government and Telangana Chief Minister earlier in Gajwel which dampened the spirits of the state unit which is dreaming of becoming an alternative force in the newest state of the country.

Telangana BJP President Lakshman in his speech before Modi, mentioned about the defections going on in the state and elaborated about how KCR government is taking up anti-people policies and is only concentrating on strengthening of TRS. Modi, however, did not go into any thing of that in his speech.

Modi’s speech was mostly about national issues and his achievements at the Center. The only local issue he touched is about the celebration of Hyderabad Liberation day which was more of a jibe against MIM. Telangana BJP unit is disappointed at Modi not motivating the cadre about taking on KCR government and becoming an alternative for 2019 elections.
