Modi’s most controversial suit to clean Ganga!

auction for modi suitPrime Minister Narendra Modi wore a 10 Lakh worth Bandhgala suit during a radio program with US President Barack Obama in his Republic day trip to India. The suit has the stripes were actually tiny letters spelling out his name in full – Narendra Damodardas Modi– and embroidered on the fabric vertically down the stripe. And it stirred a big controversy back then for the name exhibition as well as the cost.

However the suit is now all set to be auctioned. The suit along with the 455 gifts received by Modi in his tenure so far as the Prime Minister will be up for the auction in a three day event at Surat and the amount collected from the auction will go for the funding of the Clean Ganga Mission.

Narendra Modi since his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister follows this trend of auctioning the gifts he got and then used to donate the money for girl child education trust, Kanya Kelavani Yojna. And he is continuing the same in Delhi too.
