Multi-level Flyover Junction At IIIT: Hyd

Signboards have been installed at the IIT Junction for a 3.25 km multi-level flyover project. The development has raised expectations that construction work will begin soon.

The flyover aims to ease traffic congestion at one of the most critical junctions in the area. Daily traffic jams have made commuting difficult for thousands of motorists passing through this stretch.

A budget of Rs 459 crore has been allocated for the combined IIIT and Khajaguda junction works. The project is designed to improve connectivity across multiple high traffic corridors.

The Level 1 flyover will connect ISB road to the DLF and Gachibowli road. This will help reduce bottlenecks for vehicles entering the IT hub.

The Level 2 flyover will cater to traffic moving from ISB towards BHEL and Miyapur. Dedicated ramps will also manage traffic from the Financial District to the Cyberabad Commissionerate.

At the same time, the road from the Cyberabad Commissionerate to Gachibowli junction is being widened to 215 feet. This expansion will support landing ramps and service roads linked to the flyover.

The project is on a 24-month fast track schedule. Authorities are targeting completion by late 2027.

The Gachibowli area has seen heavy congestion in recent years due to the growing number of IT employees commuting daily. Long waiting times on roads have also contributed to rising air pollution.

While flyovers are not a complete solution, they can significantly improve traffic flow. The new multi-level flyover is expected to bring major relief to commuters in this busy corridor.
