Mummidivaram MLA Ponnada Satish was elected as the MLA on a Congress ticket in 2009. He joined YSR Congress just before the 2019 elections and got elected. He is YSR Congress Konaseema district President right now.

Former Minister Malladi Krishna Rao played a crucial role in getting him a ticket on both occasions. Hence, Ponnada treats Malladi as his Guru. But then, the relationship got stained now.

Malladi Krishna Rao is upset with Ponnada for his high-headedness. So, the senior politician from Yanam is trying to pull him down.
