Nagam Janardhan Reddy always had a significant place in Telugu politics. In his long journey with Telugu Desam Party, Nagam enjoyed several key posts in the party and TDP governments. He is always an influential personality even when in opposition. But Nagam differed with Chandrababu Naidu during peak Telangana agitation period and left the party.
Nagam lost the last election contesting for Mahabubnagar MP segment. Despite his best efforts to corner the ruling government and bring a mark to BJP, the saffron party leaders never cooperated with him. A very disappointed Nagam is now looking back to make comeback to BJP.
Recently he had a meeting with his cadre in Nagarkurnool and they voiced similar opinion. But the main problem is that TDP and BJP are currently partners in both Telangana and AP. BJP would not take it lightly if TDP poaches its leader.
