Tech savvy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh seem to have lost his heart for the bullet trains which symbolizes development and prosperity of any country. Narendra Modi led Central government spoke of planning to bring bullet train to the country in their first budget. The first bullet train project was sanctioned between Ahmedabad and Japan will be concessionaire for this project. Naidu reportedly wants to get the second bullet train of India for Andhra Pradesh. It is said that the Chinese are lobbying hard to get a bullet train project from Modi’s government and Naidu wants it to happen between Visakhapatnam and Chennai via Vijayawada and Tirupati.
Last month, a Chinese railway group led by engineering wing international director Zhou Fangyuan met Naidu and offered help to modernize railways in Andhra Pradesh. It is said that the Chief Minister has asked them to come up with a feasibility report for a bullet train project plying on the Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada-Tirupati-Chennai corridor. It is also said that Naidu may take up Chinese tour towards the end of the year regarding the same.
