Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited Rajahmundry Government hospital where the injured in Godavari Pushkaralu are being treated. The Chief Minister was reduced in to tears seeing the devotees in pain.

The CM put his best efforts to make this event memorable but things went haywire in implementation as the crowds arrived in unbelievable numbers. Chandrababu announced 10 Lakhs ex-gratia to the dead. He announced that he will stay in Rajahmundry itself if necessary until the 12 days event concludes.
The state government had also ordered an inquiry in to the incident. Action on the concerned officials will be taken after the event concludes. Officials are trying their level best to bring the situation under control at the ghats.
