The bus was sent back to Chandigarh as the Chief Minister suggested some modifications to the bus.The bus costs 5.30 Crore for the state exchequer and will be used to transport the CM, Ministers and other People’s representatives when CM goes for the district tours. This will enable the CM to spend more time with the local leaders discussing the issues.
Naidu used his old bus during the Hudhud cyclone in Visakhapatnam by using it as his office-cum-home. Naidu had a miraculous escape from an accident in the old bus on his way to Rajahmundry from the Madhurapudi airport sometime back and that prompted the state government to go for a new bus.
