Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in his previous terms is a reform oriented man. He focused more on wealth creation in those days than welfare schemes but the imbalance between both failed him in the elections and confined him to opposition for 10 years straight. Now Chandrababu is back at the helm and is trying to strik right balance between reforms and welfare schemes.
NTR Bharosa – the enhancement of the existing pension scheme is creating wonders in public. The earlier pension of 200 for old age people is no where enough for them to at least fill their stomachs. But the 1000 rupees now offered is able to take good care of them. In the reports emerging from the villages, it is stated that even diehard fans of YSR Congress and Jagan could not stop admiring Naidu for this scheme. Naidu is very soon planning to make sure the middlemen is avoided in pensions and the amounts are credited to the bank accounts directly every month. This step will further enhance the transparency and accountability of the scheme.
