Andhra Pradesh government is keen on going to e-file management as much as possible so as to avoid the costs of transportation and storing of the physical files. The state government is struggling to create office space for the employees who will be shifting to Amaravathi in June this year. Going paperless will mean that the office space for storing them will be saved.

Only 50% of the files of various government departments are in e-file management. The departments are urged to bring as many as files possible under this system by the time the administration is shift from Hyderabad. So the officials of all the departments are busy converting the files.
Naidu had fixed June 2, 2016 as deadline for all departments to shift from Hyderabad to the capital area. The temporary secretariat at Velagapudi in Amaravati capital region is scheduled to complete by June 15 and so the full-fledged AP administration will start function from there on August 1.
