Name Change to change fortunes of T-TDP?

Telangana TDP is facing the question of existence with back to back failure and non-stop defections after the state division. The party leadership in Telangana is desperate to change the fortunes of the party some how. A meeting of T-TDP Leaders came up with a proposal of name change.

They opined that anything before Telugu Desam Party will not work. In the past, there are experiments like NTR TDP and Anna TDP which did not work. So they feel Telangana Telugu Desam Party is a bad idea. They are of the opinion to change the party name as Telugu Desam Telangana Party.

The name change is subject to the approval of Party Supremo, Chandrababu Naidu. We will have to see if this name change will bring in the change of fortunes for the party in the newest state. On the other side, it is said that Telangana Speaker Madhusudhanachari will take a decision on the merger of TDLP in to TRSLP before the start of the budget session.
