Fulfilled Mega DSC Despite 150+ Court Cases: Lokesh

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh distributed recruitment letters to selected teachers on Thursday, marking the completion of the Mega DSC process. Letters were first handed to the top 20 candidates, while others received them through the education department.

Lokesh posted on X that filling teacher posts through DSC was the government’s first promise after taking office in June 2024. He expressed happiness in announcing its completion, stating that 15,941 new teachers will now serve in government, ZP/MPP, municipal, welfare, model, and residential schools.

Highlighting the challenges, Lokesh said the recruitment was completed in just 150 days despite over 150 court cases. He stressed that the process was carried out fairly and transparently, with reservations implemented for women, SC/ST/BC, PwBD, ex-servicemen, and sportspersons across 421 seats.

Out of 3.36 lakh aspirants, 15,941 candidates were selected on merit. Lokesh added that the recruitment would significantly boost learning outcomes across Andhra Pradesh. The Mega DSC was also one of the Super Six promises made by the Chandrababu government during elections.
