Minister Nara Lokesh was in Legislative Council today and there has been a heated discussion in the upper house of the Assembly.
Both TDP and YSRCP indulged in heated discussion as YCP hurled various charges at TDP. The YSRCP has more numbers in the Council and the chairperson is also a YSRCP member.
Despite that, Minister Nara Lokesh single handedly took on the questions and answered them in his characteristic style. He was not bogged down by the YSRCP, instead he bashed them with counter arguments.
The YSRCP members alleged that TDP got the Governor to tell lies. YCP MLC Varudu Kalyani alleged that the TDP said it gave 4 lakh jobs. To this Lokesh hit back saying they said they will provide jobs and never said they gave jobs.
Next issue that got Lokesh all fired up was regarding threatening of VCs. A TDP member gave back saying Jagan’s kin were VCs in most cases due to which they resigned. Lokesh challenged YSRCP members to show proof and said he would personally order for an enquiry if proved otherwise. “We don’t indulge in phone tapping like you,” he said. “Show proof that Anitha had called or Lokesh had called. I will personally take action,” roared Lokesh.
When asked about special status, Lokesh lashed out saying Pulivendula MLA said he will bend the BJP government to give special status to AP. Today, TDP and Janasena are part of double-engine government. We brought Vizag railway zone, we got Rs 13,000 crore for Vizag steel plant. Lokesh said he under the direction of Chandrababu Naidu got funds for Amaravati and Polavaram.
Lokesh shot back at YSRCP councilors asking them what they had done when they were in power for 5 years.
In all, it was a heated debate in the Council.
