AP IT, HRD Minister Nara Lokesh reviewed the developmental activities happening in Mangalagiri with officials on Tuesday. He shared that IT companies and other firms were showing interest in investing in Mangalagiri.
The Minister said that there was scope for 50,000 people to work in Mangalagiri. Lokesh also told the officials to take up the second phase of distribution of house pattas in Mangalagiri where 2000 pattas will be given.
We don’t have to remind that Mangalagiri is the constituency of Lokesh and development of the Tier-2 town is top on agenda of IT Minister. To make it attractive for investors, be it of IT firms or other manufacturers, the IT Minister is spending big on infrastructure.
The underground drainage project has been taken up with Rs 1138 crore. Various parks are being developed for clean and fresh air like the Rs 9 crore TIDCO park.
As Mangalagiri happens to be a temple town, Rs 47 crore is being spent on Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple. Beautification of the town is on and so are projects to provide clean drinking water to residents.
Mangalagiri already has the corporate office of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). A skill census, first-of-its-kind was carried out in Mangalagiri to make the town ready for the wave of investments waiting in the pipeline.
In short, Mangalagiri is on the go, thanks to Lokesh.
