Nara Lokesh Assures Full Support for Rapthadu Schoolgirl

Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh has assured the family of the Rapthadu schoolgirl that the government will stand by them through her treatment and recovery. He visited the girl at Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru on Sunday and reviewed her condition with the medical team.

The Class 10 student was brutally attacked with a chainsaw inside her school in Rapthadu. She underwent surgery that lasted nearly 12 hours and is now in the ICU. Doctors have indicated that the next 48 hours will be critical.

Lokesh expressed deep concern over the girl’s condition and appealed to people across Andhra Pradesh to pray for her recovery. Calling her “our daughter”, he said the government would take complete responsibility for her medical treatment and rehabilitation.

He also met the girl’s family and personally assured them of all possible support. Lokesh gave his personal phone number to the girl’s father and asked him to call or message directly whenever they needed help. He promised to remain in touch with the family and follow up on her treatment until she recovers.

The Minister said the incident was extremely unfortunate and urged people not to turn it into a political issue. He said the immediate priority should be the girl’s recovery and the well-being of her family.

Lokesh also acknowledged the need to strengthen safety measures in schools. He assured that the government would take steps to prevent such incidents in the future. He warned that anyone involved in harassment or misconduct towards women would face strict action.

He further made it clear that those responsible for the attack would not be spared and that legal action would be taken against them.

Lokesh assured them that they would not have to face this difficult period alone and that the government would continue to provide the medical and personal support needed during her treatment and rehabilitation.
