
Minister Nara Lokesh is presently in New Delhi meeting various union ministers to discuss important issues regarding the state.
He was asked about data theft accusations made by YSRCP. The party has said that the government was taking people’s data through whatsapp governance.

Responding to the same, the IT minister of AP threw an open challenge to YSRCP. Lokesh said he will give Rs 10 crore if it is proved that data theft has happened.
He further clarified that he would personally give the amount from his pocket if it is proven. He said, he will not touch government money, but give it personally.

Lokesh was addressing media and jovially said Jagan wouldn’t understand as he doesn’t carry a phone. Lokesh pointed out that Jagan himself claimed he does not have a phone on him during one of his interviews. When suggested that he should send a phone to Jagan, Lokesh laughed and said, “Should I buy a phone and send? Leave him, a man who does not have phone won’t understand whatsapp. He is living in Bengaluru most days and we don’t provide services there.”
Lokesh went on to add that he spoke about whatsapp governance with Union Minister Vaishnaw. He shared that they spoke of extending services to people on various platforms.

Following a suggestion by Vaishnaw, Lokesh divulged that a step towards storing all documents in a digi locker will be taken soon. He also said that other governments in the country were showing interest in whatsapp governance.
